ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
A story of Japan's most valued cultural pieces, the cherry tree, green tea and craftsmanship.
Its simplicity was obtained by removing the knob from the inner lid. The removal of the knob enables the inner lid to be used in place of a tea scoop when measuring tealeaves into a teapot.
The inner lid is made using the “katamono” crafting technique, in which the inner cylinder of the caddy is cut so as to create parallel sections, one of which will be used as the inner lid.
Because they were cut from the same piece, the diameters of the inner cylinder and the inner lid are the same, and they fit together perfectly.
The outer cylinder is made of plain bark made by polishing the surface of wild cherry tree bark, allowing you to enjoy the unique expression of the knots of cherry bark that appear when polished.
In addition, the lustre increases with each passing day, and the more you use it, the more subdued the colour becomes.
